Covid-19 Advice and Support
TDS can offer support or advice needed to help answer queries regarding healthy safe laundry processes.
There are many new guidelines to be followed in laundries and the production of fully disinfected laundry.
Some smaller in house laundries may not be able to maintain the social distancing rules or reach the correct temperatures for a long enough period of time. There is also a higher risk of cross contamination in “in house laundries “due to the same staff working in rooms and processing the laundry in the same uniforms. There is often not enough space to leave dirty laundry for the correct length of time to reduce cross contamination.
All linen needs to be laundered to health care standards.
Staff uniforms should not be worn on the way to or from work especially on public transport. They also need to be laundered using the same process as medical scrubs.
Towels pose a high risk of cross contamination due to the fibres holding bacteria and viruses in the pile. They need to thermally disinfected.
These are just some of the areas to think about when considering reopening. Please get in touch if TDS can be of any help or support as we all work through these changes together.
